A case has been filed in Chattogram accusing Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson of the Bangladesh Sanatan Jagaran Jot and a former leader of ISKCON, along with 164 others, on charges of attempted murder.
Additionally, 400 to 500 unidentified individuals have also been named as accused in the case.
On Sunday, December 8, around 12 PM, Enamul Haque, a businessman, filed the case in the court of Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Abu Bakr Siddique. The court accepted the case and has kept it pending for an order.
The plaintiff’s lawyer, Advocate Shamsul Alam, confirmed the matter and said the court has accepted the application as a case after hearing it. The case is currently awaiting an order.
Plaintiff Enamul Haque stated, “On November 26, I came to the court premises for personal work. During a clash between the police and ISKCON followers, ISKCON members attacked me with the intent to kill, shouting ‘Molla, Molla.’ Chinmoy has been named as the main planner behind this incident. It took time to file the case as I was undergoing treatment in the hospital.”
