The land service hotline (call centers) of the Ministry of Land will set out on October 10, next month. It will be a milestone in the process of providing transparent and efficient land services to the people। Hotline number 16123.
Said Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury at a meeting with the Land Reform Board’s officials at the board headquarters at BIWTA building in Motijheel, this morning.
Land Secretary Md. Muksodur Rahman Patwary, Additional Secretary (Development) Md. Abdul Haque, LRB member Mohammad Zakir Hossain and Zahida Khanam including officials at various levels of ministry and board were present joined the meeting while Chairman of the Land Reform Board (LRB) Ummul Hasna chaired it.
Minister also said, “We want to ensure transparency in every land office of the country. Initiatives to set up the hotline have been taken to carry out necessary steps as per the feedback complaints of irregularities of the Land Office from the citizen”. Minister urged for completing the process of bringing applicable assets of the court of Wards into schedule ‘A’ and Accelerating land management automation activities.
Special guest the land secretary stressed on collecting land development tax from government agencies, saying that the honorable Prime Minister has strict directive on this.
In addition, it was recommended at the meeting to take strong steps in obtaining money from LA cases (land acquisition) and to continue the lease activities of all the land which was granted as per the directions of the Ministry of Land.
At noon in the same day, the land minister gave a directional speech to the ‘Land Administration Training Centre’ trainee Assistant Commissioner (Land) at ‘Ministry of Land activities instruction’ meeting took place at the conference room of the Land Ministry.
The Minister of Land directed the AC Lands to work with transparency and accountability. He instructed the AC Lands to prepare the list of the Government Khas land within their jurisdiction as well.
