All land service departments / agencies under same roof by next June

‘Bhumi Bhaban Complex’ in Tejgaon area of Dhaka, whose construction begun under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will be ready for official uses by the next June, this year, to bring all the offices / agencies of the land ministry under one roof to provide ‘One Stop Service’ to the people.

The respective project manager of ‘Bhumi Bhaban Complex’ informed Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, MP that on today Wednesday morning. Land Minister visited the construction site to inspect the progress of the complex project.

The land minister announced the establishment of Bangabandhu’s murals in the ‘Bhumi Bhaban Complex’ in honor of the memory of the first land reformer of independent Bangladesh, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of the Mujib Year during that time.

The Land Minister thinks – the ongoing Digital Land Service under the theme of ‘Digital Land Service is Occurring, Time is changing’ will gain impetuosity if all the offices/agencies of the land ministry conduct one-stop service activities under the same roof.

13-story with two basement building has the foundation of a 20-story building. It will consist of more than 31 thousand sq meters of floor area and a parking area for 150 vehicles with the construction cost of about TK 106 crore.

In addition to offices of the Land Record and Survey Department, Land Reform Board, Land Appeal Board, etc., there are plans to set up food cafes, prayer rooms, banks, and booths.

Department of Land Record and Survey DG Md. Taslimul Islam, Land Ministry Additional Secretary (Development) Md. Abdul Haque, related Project Directors and head of Contractor Company was present at the moment of the ministerial visit ‘Bhumi Bhaban Complex’.

It is noted, ‘Bhumi Bhaban Complex’ is being constructed under the supervision of the Public Works Department and Department of Land Record and Survey.
