A court here yesterday sent 10 BNP leaders and activists of Indurkani upazila to jail, cancelling their bail prayer, in Jubo League activist Swapan Shil murder case.
In 2013, Swapan was killed by BNP-Jamaat men during countrywide blockade called by BNP-led four party alliance.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Saifuzzaman gave the order when the ten were produced before the court at noon.
The accused include Abul Kalam Sikder, president of Balipara union unit of BNP, its joint general secretary Abu Bakar and Jubo Dal activist Rabiul Islam.
