THE NEWS DESK: Indian captain Virat Kohli seems to be a favourite of the advertisers.
According to a poll on India Today Twitter, Kohli is the most marketable athlete in India. With 44 per cent votes, Kohli won the poll, where MS Dhoni came second with 27 per cent votes.
Not only does Kohli manage the Indian cricket team and leads from the front, he owns stakes in the Indian Super League FC Goa and wrestling and tennis teams.
The Delhi lad endorses 18 brands and earlier in the year, he refused to be associated with a cola brand citing that he doesn’t consume the product and doesn’t believe in it.
Kohli recently launched his own athleisure sports brand One8 in association with Puma.
Virat Kohli was the second most valued Indian at 92 million dollar in 2016, second only to Shah Rukh Khan’s 131 million dollars and this year, it’s only estimated to rise.
Kohli has jumped to the seventh most valued athletes in the world and tops the list in India with Sachin Tendulkar and Dhoni behind him.
