On Tuesday (August 13) the chief adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus will meet with the Hindu community. The government is on the side of the country’s minority communities, said the religious advisor. A F M Khalid Hossain.
Today Monday (August 12), the religious advisor gave this information after exchanging views with the officials and employees at the secretariat.
The religious adviser said, ‘the police had returned to work and no further incidents would occur. Attackers on minorities are miscreants. They will be brought under the law. The government believes in harmony among all religions’.
He said that, ‘the miscreants who attacked will be brought under the law. It will be maintained as a secular country. A hotline will be launched today, to report any attack on anyone’s home. Police will go there and take action’.
Khalid Hossain said that the list of those whose houses and temples were destroyed is being collected. Financial assistance will be provided to the victims.
He also said that since the new advisor took charge, madrasa students and other students have kept vigil at temples and shrines. We want to maintain communal harmony in this country.
