Ayodhya is surrounded by specially trained police and commando forces. Snipers with special rifles on top of each high rise building. Sophisticated surveillance drones are constantly flying in the sky. “Ram birthland” has been wrapped in a thick sheet of security. Puja rituals are going on. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is at the helm. The city of Ayodhya resounds with the sound of conch bells. Flowers are being distributed by helicopter in Ayodhya city. The blindfold of Ram Lala’s idol in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram Mandir has been untied. There are Narendra Modi, Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. The Prime Minister is performing puja with a lotus flower in his hand.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is with Narendra Modi in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram Mandir. They are sitting in worship. Prime Minister Modi performing Aarti of Ramlala at Panchpradeep. ‘Pranapratishtha’ was completed. Narendra Modi prostrated in front of the idol of Ramlala. Count exactly 84 seconds. Meanwhile, the ‘Pranapratishta’ in the idol of Ram in Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir was completed. The name of that particular time is ‘Avijit Khuntam’. This time is chosen for ‘Pranapratishtha’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi came out of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir at the end of ‘Pranapratishtha’. He welcomed the guests in the temple premises with folded hands. The meeting started.

A stream of stars has descended on the premises of Rammandi since morning. Starting from the stars of Bolipara, the actors of the southern film world have also appeared. Bollywood’s ‘Shahenshah’ Amitabh Bachchan arrived at Ram Mandir before the program started. Rajinikanth, the popular star of the southern film world, also appeared at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Bali singer Sonu Nigam appeared on the occasion of the ‘Pranapratishtha’ of Ramlala’s statue. He was heard singing ‘Ram Siya Ram’ bhajan. At the end of the song, he shouted ‘Jai Sriram’ and got off the stage. Ratan Tata, Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani family came. Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and other stars have also come.

LK Advani is not present in Ayodhya during the inauguration of Ram Mandir despite being invited. Once the ‘face’ of the Ram Mandir movement, this BJP leader is now reported to be unable to stay in Ramlala’s ‘Pran Pratistha’ due to ‘extreme cold’.

Advani is now 96. From the beginning, there were doubts whether he and another senior BJP leader, Murali Manohar Joshi, who was at the forefront of the temple movement, would attend the inauguration of the Ram temple. A few days ago, the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthkshetra Trust had informed that Advani and Joshi could not go to Ayodhya due to their age and physical condition. Trust general secretary Champat Rai said, “The age of both the leaders is being kept in mind. We requested them not to come. Both have accepted the matter.”

But later Champat’s claim was virtually dismissed by Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Alok Kumar. He told news agency ANI that Advani will be present at the inauguration of Ram Mandir. He also said that all arrangements are being made in Ayodhya for the senior leader. Incidentally, Advani was the ‘face’ of the Sangh family in the Ram Mandir movement three decades ago. The BJP made a surprising rise in the Hindi arena on the back of its Ramrath Yatra.

Almost all the parties of the opposition alliance ‘India’ are avoiding the festive Ayodhya on Monday. CPM had already said that they are not going to Ayodhya. In a statement on their behalf, it is said that they respect the religious sentiments of people. But they accused the BJP of mixing politics with religion. Today West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is going to walk from Hazra to Park Circus in Trinamool’s ‘Sanhati Yatra’. The Chief Minister said, “I will touch Maa Kali, touch temples, mosques, gurdwaras, churches, and take people of all religions with me in this procession.”

Congress has decided not to go to Ayodhya despite being invited. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra’ is now passing through BJP-ruled Assam. Rahul alleged that authorities stopped him from entering the Batdrab Satra temple in the state’s Naogaon on Monday. After that, the Congress leader sat down. However, the temple authorities say they have allowed only local MPs and local MLAs to enter the temple. Regarding stopping Rahul from entering the temple, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, “We had informed that we will go to the temple on January 22 at 7 am. But yesterday suddenly we were told that we will not be able to go there till 3 pm.” The Congress has claimed that the temple authorities changed their decision under pressure from the Assam BJP government.
