President Md. Abdul Hamid has given the following message on the occasion of the ‘National Industrial Fair 2019’:
“I am happy to know that the Ministry of Industries is going to organize the first ever ‘National Industrial Fair 2019’. I congratulate all who are involved in this innovative venture.
Sustainable and environment-friendly industrialization is essential for achieving the goals of economic prosperity. Industrialized nations have already been able to reach the desired destination of socio-economic progress by strengthening the process of quality industrialization. Our entrepreneurs will also have to set up industries aiming to use local raw materials in order to materialize the target of becoming a developed economy as per the goals specified in the vision 2021 and vision 2041. For this, we have to take necessary steps to boost production of import substitute products using own resources, talent, creativity and innovation. In addition to this, diversification of export-oriented products and strengthening the efforts of value addition will surely increase our competency to survive successfully in the competitive global market.
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman laid special emphasis on expanding industrialization at the grassroots level. He had strengthened the efforts of achieving prosperity in the industrial sector through popularizing the concept of setting up local raw materials based industries. After the assassination of Bangabandhu on 15 August 1975, the aim of achieving economic emancipation of the Bengali nation was stagnant. In line with the economic philosophy of Bangabandhu, the government has taken multifaceted initiative to persue the trend of industrialization. The use of modern and environmental- friendly technologies has been intensified in the industrial sector.
I hope that the ‘National Industrial Fair – 2019’ will accelerate the industrialization process of Bangladesh. It will encourage the participating entrepreneurs to expand their products and services at the local and international level through appropriate publicity and market linkage in the upcoming days. I believe the fair would be able to display the qualitative changes that have taken place in the industrial sector of Bangladesh.
I wish the ‘National Industrial Fair – 2019’ a grand success.
Khoda Hafez, May Bangladesh Live Forever.”
