List of kings after the battle of Kurukshetra mentioned in Mahabharata: Yashpala, the last king of Indraprastha. In 1249, Sultan Shahabuddin Ghori attacked Yashpal from Ghazni fort and imprisoned him in the fort of Prajra – then Sultan Shahabuddin began to rule in Idraprastha (Delhi). His dynasty ruled for 53 years, 1 month and 17 days.
Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati ji highlighted for the first time the identity of all the kings of Indraprastha and Aryavarta and the identity of their reigns.
Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati collected this information from Harishchandra Chandrika and Mohanchandrika, a bi-weekly magazine published by Srinathdwar in Chittorgarh, the capital of Udaipur Medar State in Rajputana. The editor of the two newspapers collected a book written in 1782 from a friend and published it in 1939.
