(A brief Report from the Assembly of the Free Balochistan Movement based in Dortmund, London.)
We commemorated the dead Balochistanis, who were forcibly killed by the regime. Many of them had previously been forcibly abducted and severely tortured. The number of “enforced disappearances” has increased alarmingly since last August. The UN in Geneva has few cases to register, as relatives are silent for fear of being kidnapped and murdered. The Pakistani Army, in agreement with China, will create space for the planned economic Corridor under the CPEC Treaty, which will also bring China strategic gains in terms of the Strait of Hormuz, Africa and the Arab States. In addition, they serve for free at the resources of Balochistan. The population lives in bitter poverty. The Pakistani army uses combat helicopters and F-16 fighter jets to attack the villages. Women and children are not spared. The number of forced abducted and murdered women and children is also increasing.
Amnesty International Hagen sent her representative to the assembly to offer her help to the Baloch. Rohail Marri and Nobat Marri, nephews of Baloch leader Hyarbyar Marri, who lives in exile in London, gave speeches. Both lost relatives. Rohail is his father and Nobat is his brother. The mood was down. Many of the present Balochens are severely traumatized, have faced endless persecution and torture.
Everyone wants a peaceful change in their desperate situation. Hope that the international community comes to their aid. Many actions and protests of the Free Balochistan Movement in Europe serves to alert the people of the West to read their fate.
Balochistan is unknown in the west. Pakistan is constantly spreading its disinformation about the country in media and governments to hide the crime perpetrated on the Balochs. The call was made to finally allow independent journalists and international human rights organizations to objectively document the situation at the ground zero level.
The Balochs want an independent democratic and secular state. They want to be honest with the West in the fight against Islamist extremism and state terrorism. A speech emphasized that the terror that Balochistan is encountering today will hit the world tomorrow, as Pakistan supports terror and does not oppose ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Taliban, but instead using it purposefully for its evil design against the West and Afghanistan. Pakistan now serves ISIS as a country of terrorists hideout after suffering severe defeats
in Syria and Iraq. The Pak regime abuses American military aid. Congress and the Trump administration have become suspicious after decades of abusing the funds of the American taxpayers badly utilised by Pakistan to directly support for Islamist terrorism and unleash reign of terror in Baluchistan, Sindh and Pashtun provinces under occupation of Pakistan for decades. The Trump must review and stop aid to Pakistan and support Baloch freedom struggle.
The poet Azum Noor portrayed his moving poem on the Baloches. The ten-year Mahgonag also gave a speech in Balochi language. Already 17 months after her entry, she speaks a perfect accent-free German.
The Sindhi Mir Salim Sanai, who has lived in Germany for decades, knew Willi Brandt and worked in the peace movement, also delivered a funeral oration. Most of the Balochers present seek asylum in Germany. Her return would result in her certain death.
On a canvas, the faces of the dead were unpacked, their dates of death were mentioned. Some German supporters were also present. Stunned, they regretted that the world, in view of the many conflicts in the world, did not perceive the suffering of the Baloch citizens under forcible occupation of deadly Pakistan.
