Mr.Rajib Sharma, Ctg.Office : Police detained four people from the house of State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury at Sarson Road under Kotwali Police Station here on last Friday(27 April) night following a dispute over land. Jashim Uddin, Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said there had been a long standing dispute between Sanjib Singh, Director of Meghna Bank and Shusil Dhar(Chandu) former chairman of Anwara Number of 7 Sadar Union. The state minister sat in an arbitration meeting with the two groups to settle the issue in the evening. At one stage, the two groups to locked into a scuffle in presence of the state minister. Being failed to bring the situation under control, he informed police. Leter, police detained four people from the spot arround 10:45pm.
