Shree Amal Chandra – father of victim Said The News, Crime Investigator of The Crime that first information report (FIR) to Officer in Charge of Shibgonj police station in writing on 10th May,2016 for recovery of her minor daughter. Accordingly a case No.13 dated 10.05.2016 under section 7/30 of Women and Children Repression Act, 2003 had been started against 6 (six) kidnappers at his police station. Father of the victim approached law enforcing authority several times, but police could not rescue the victim, nor any accused was arrested. Thereafter he approached BDMW for legal help.

And Minoroty Watch Bangladesh added to again The Crime Investigator at the As per written appeal submitted by father of victim- Shree Amal Chandra, our HR team and volunteer of Bangladesh Minority Watch under the leadership of Bikash Sharnakar visited the spot on 11th and 12th May, 16 from where the minor victim was kidnapped; they also enquired about how perpetrators put physical and mention pressure on child to board the vehicle. They also asked all three witnesses who witnessed the scenario of kidnapping. All the witnesses available during fact-finding gave testimony that the victim was put pressure to abide by their orders. Before lodging F.I.R. I on behalf of BDMW requested Md. Ahasan Habib- Officer in Charge of Shibgonj P.S who recorded the case against those perpetrators under proper section of law. He also gave us to understand that Mohammad Shamim Hossain- S.I. of Police has been given responsibility for investigation and also recovery of the child. Md. Ahasan Habib also gave me to understand that “The incident was a love matter not an incident of kidnapping” But he could say whether the victim was minor children or not. We have scrutinized the documents of birth certificate of victim whose date of birth was recorded as 20.11.2004, so as per law minor girl cannot give consent of marriage under Child Marriage Act.

BDMW said again too that they talked with the father of victim who cried for urgent recovery of the victim because he apprehends that his daughter might be forcefully converted to Islam or she might be raped by several persons during custody of perpetrators.
