BDMW reports: Perpetrators physically attacked Hindu Primary School Teacher (Ramendra Chandra Talukdar (47)) of Dharmapasha Upazila of Sunamgonj District on 31st of March,2019 at night with sharp weapon for murder.
The Teacher was brought to Dharmapasha Upazila Health Complex with precarious condition. He was transferred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and as his physical condition deteriorated he has again been admitted to Dhaka Medical College on Monday last.
Bangladesh Minority HR Team visited Dhaka Medical College Hospital 2nd of April,2019 at about 10 a.m., talked with victim’s wife – Ms.Shati Rani, she said some unidentified attackers with ill motive with a view to kill her husband attacked with deadly weapons, such as rod, indiscriminately, resulting which he was brought to Mymensingh Medical College and doctor failed to give appropriate treatment. As a result he has been sent to Dhaka Medical College for regaining senses. But HR team saw that the victim did not regained his senses.
BDMW came to know from the local Officer in Charge of Moddoya Nagar police station of Dharmapasha a case No.01 dated 01.04.2019 under section 307/326/34 of BPC recorded and one perpetrator Md.Shafiqul Islam was detained and arrested.
Bangladesh Minority Watch is very concerned about attack on Hindu Minority School Teacher at Dharmapasha Upazila of Sunamgonj District. BDMW also condemn this attack, also demand the perpetrators responsible for attack should be arrested and be punished as per law. Adequate medical assistance to victim should be provided for his rescue and survival.
